Live Streaming Video Services

Live video streaming is all the rage right now.  What better way to connect with your fans and customers than via a live stream.  Click on the image below to see a recent stream I did for a hotel chain in connection with its grand re-opening.

Facebook now makes it easy for anyone to live stream from their phone.  In fact, they just introduced two person streaming.  So if you're looking to interview someone live, you'll soon be able to do that too!

The thing is, when you broadcast from your phone, there's not a lot you can do with the video OR audio.

Sure, you can walk around and show people stuff, but you can't pan or zoom to show something close up.  And the person talking on camera better stay really close to the phone if you'd like your audience to hear them.

As an Emmy-winning former broadcast professional, it pains me to see sub par video content.  Now, listen, I know we don't all have huge budgets to create award-winning video every time.  And I fully subscribe to the idea of going live on Facebook to connect with your audience authentically.  BUT... since everyone is doing it now, in the long run, you're going to need to find a way to set yourself apart from your competitors.  And the only way is to up your game.

If you are looking to stand out in a sea of amateur live streamers, you need to build a professional broadcast.

That's why we are introducing Facebook live stream packages built for small business.  Let's just get a few things out of the way first.  This service is NOT for you if...

  • You are a do-it-yourselfer
  • You don't have (or want) a plan to promote your live stream
  • You don't have a big event coming up or something visual to showcase (besides your pretty face)

Our Facebook live streaming service IS for you if...

  • You've got a big event on the horizon (grand opening) and you want to build hype in person and online
  • Your CEO is going to be speaking at an important conference and you want to professionally stream his or her speech to your customers (think 2 cameras - view of the stage AND view of your CEO's power point).
  • You've got a brand spankin' new product and want to do an in-depth demo for your fans and maybe couple that with a giveaway
  • You've got a great "behind the scenes" story that would intrigue many of your fans and deepen your relationship with them
  • You're launching a brand new menu and your chef is going to show off how to make some of the items... while a professional host talks to some of your satisfied customers
  • You're launching a new show and you want to show off rehearsals while one of the performers narrates an exclusive look behind the scenes
  • You've got an outrageous idea for something cool to show your fans, but it's gonna take way more than an iPhone to showcase it
  • Your biggest fundraising gala of the year is this weekend and you need a way to include your supporters who couldn't make the event.  Bonus: your on camera hosts make a strong case for donations!
  • You need a solid plan to promote your live stream in advance and an even better plan to make good use of the video after it's been shown to your fans live (think your website, future promotions, Facebook ads, the list goes on!)

Let's look at some of the benefits of Facebook Live Streaming for Your Business

  • Build a Relationship with Your Customers and Potential Customers ('cause people do business with people they like and trust)
  • Pull back the curtain on your business to build good will and transparency with your tribe
  • Take your customers to events virtually if they can't attend live - make 'em feel like they're there with you
  • Answer questions for your customers.... is there anything better than feeling like a company cares enough to address you directy?
  • Your live stream lives on - repurpose the heck out of that video
  • Facebook prioritizes live content - which means MORE of your audience gets to hear what you have to say

It takes a well thought out plan to make a live stream successful... it's not just about pushing "go live."  You need:

  • A Plan for Pre-Promotion (let people know when and where to watch live)
  • A Plan for Engagement - on Facebook, people can ask questions or make comments during your stream... that's the whole point!  You need to make sure you have a way to interact with them and a plan for how you're going to do that (otherwise, just shoot a video and upload it - forget going live)
  • A Call to Action - what do you want people to do after watching your video?
  • A Plan for re-purposing your video - if you're taking the time (and money) to invest in a legit live stream, you better have an idea for what you're doing with that video after!
