Executive Coaching
As a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Executive Director (ED), you're responsible for all aspects of your company or organization. You must develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to guide your organization and increase profits. You must lead a team of individuals to perform at their best. And you must make a dizzying number of decisions every single day. In today's fast-paced business world, leading an organization can be challenging if you try to do it on your own.
Like any elite athlete, executives need a coach to perform at their best. Executive coaching can help you achieve your personal and professional goals, whether it's hitting new profit margins, entering a new market, or developing a more productive team environment. Executive coaching also helps CEOs and other executives build their communication skills, understand how to foster positive relationships, and work better with others.
At NR Strategic Consulting, we offer executive coaching to produce immediate, measurable, and sustainable results. Our coaching process focuses on defining and refining an individual's leadership style and goals. We work directly with CEOs, senior executives, and nonprofit leaders to improve self-awareness, build confidence, and fine-tune communication skills. We tailor our coaching to meet the specific needs of our clients.
What Executive Coaches Do
Executive coaches provide a supportive and confidential sounding board for their clients. They ask questions, challenge assumptions, provide resources, and help leaders achieve clarity. They often administer and help interpret behavioral assessments, conduct confidential interviews to help clients gain self-awareness, and establish development goals. An effective coach will help you identify your strengths and learn how to use them more effectively for the benefit of your entire organization.
Who Uses Executive Coaching?
Soft skills are critical to the success of any person in a leadership role. The number one skill needed for success is the ability to present oneself in a positive light and effectively communicate. Our CEO and executive clients have often just stepped into a new executive position and are looking to understand and develop their leadership goals and responsibilities. Experienced executives who want to improve their leadership skills and achieve new levels of success also turn to executive coaching to take their organizations to the next level.

What the Coaching Process Looks Like
While there are many variations, executive coaching usually involves a series of phases, beginning with an assessment of your current performance, goal setting specific to your needs, development and learning connected to your goals, and accountability for achieving those goals. The typical coaching engagement varies depending on the client's needs but is typically three to six months. Face-to-face coaching sessions are ideal, but many coaching sessions can be done over the phone or through video conferencing.
What makes NR Strategic Consulting different from other coaching providers is our relationship with The Center for Executive Coaching (CEC) and the use of The Leader's Dashboard. Using this framework, we help our clients identify and articulate their vision, mission, values, and other critical factors to track progress and identify development opportunities.
Benefits of The Leader's Dashboard:
The client is grounded in what matters most.
The entire organization is aligned when the tool is used to foster accountability.
The client can resolve issues of personal conflict with the organization's values, vision, and priorities.
The client has a simple tool to discover the most critical factors for success and satisfaction.
